What your brand is about

Quotes by Christie is a safe space on the internet where people can come for inspiration, hope and the comfort of knowing that whatever they’re going through, other people have likely been there too, and gotten through it. It’s a place for beautiful words to meet colorful designs that help evoke the same feeling as the words themselves. I hope that everyone who comes to my page, buys my book, listens to my podcast or purchases one of my products, goes about the rest of their day feeling a little bit more inspired and a little less alone. 

Some background on you

I’m a 27-year old graphic designer and marketing consultant born and raised in Maryland and now living in Washington, D.C.. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in public relations and decided to teach myself graphic design a couple of years later after realizing that I enjoyed the visual aspect of marketing far more than I did the strategic one. 

I started the Quotes by Christie Instagram about four years ago, and the community has since grown to over 1.5 million people united in their love of all things quotes and bright, retro designs. I absolutely never thought that my page would become what it is today. I’m forever grateful to every person who has decided to click that “follow” button and given me a platform to share a little more inspiration, forgiveness and hope in a world that so desperately needs it. Last year, I released my first quote book, I Feel That and just last month I released a quotes and advice podcast, The Shift (go subscribe!). I’ve done a lot of collaborations with different brands, but I’m especially excited about my collaboration with The Little Words Project because the mission of both of our brands fit so perfectly together. The Little Words Project, and Quotes by Christie, are all about more colors, more kindness and more love. 

Why you chose "better days," and what it means to your brand

I think that one of the most undeniable facts of this life is that absolutely nothing is permanent. Now, this might not seem like a happy thought when life is going great and you want it to stay exactly the same, but when things get tough, it’s the most hopeful promise. I love the phrase of this campaign, “better days” because it serves as a reminder to everyone going through a bad mental health day, a tough breakup, problems with friends or the million other problems that life throws at us, that no matter how bad things may seem right now, the universe has promised us that they won’t be that way forever. Good things happen, people change, situations change, and there are indeed, in the words of C.S. Lewis, “far better days ahead than any we leave behind.”
